Today in West civ we went over a mini quiz thing we took in class. We talked about the fall offf the roman empire. And how it was split into east and West and how the west was lost to barabians and the east became the byzantime empire. The East was more rich and powerful then the west, the west contained the poor and was easier to sack because it didn't have a big wall. Eeveryone was scared of the huns., they were fearless and nasty.

Today in class we reviewed each to others Papers. I reviewed Emily Stasuks, her paper was pretty good filled with facts and creativity. Her paper discussed the differences between the roman empire and the roman republic. She talked about Claduis and Clawigua and TIberus. She discussed how tiberus was a bad ruler and how Caudias was a good ruler but dissabled and how Calwiga was crazy

Today Class

In todays class we learned that the athenians were now looking for a new found leader. Pr. was the leader he wanted to glorify athens, he had been born into one of athens elite family. The athens wanted a city fit to rule an empire. Parcliques annouced a glorous new inspiration. He wanted athens to be the best city ever. He proposed a massive construction plan, a parathenon. In its time it is the most beautiful building ever been built. It was used to glorify athens, it was contributed to athena. It was extroidnaryly expensive. It required 20 thousand tons of marble. Parilques was dierctly involved in the process. This building is the most glorious symbol of Athens. Frieze. The world's first democracy. H4e asociated with the leading minds. Gods And Godesses

Gods and Godesses had a rule over people. They were the kings whatever the people thought they wanted they did. Diamond's theory of geographic luck was a good theory. It involves location and what happened while people were at that place. Diamond describes many things to answer that one guy's question but it all tied up to this theory called Geograpahic luck.

     He said that Paupa New Guinea was far behind because they were not blessed like some places like the fertile cresecnt. The fertile cresent had wheat, barely, and tarrow root. They also had domesticated animals. The food their was highly nutrious which helped them grow in farming. While Paupa New guinea only had one domesticated animal, sago, bananas, and other food that was high in sugar and fat and not high in protein. The fertile cresecnt had it all while New Guinea had very little. Thats why they are kind of far and behind the 21 century. 

Jared Diamond theory helped answer the question to that guy. It wasn't Paupa's fault that they had so little, white men aren't better then they are we're all the same they just got bad geogrpahic luck and they couldn't do very much about it. Paupa New Guinea is slowly catcthing up with the 21 century. Who knows maybe next time they'll be the most advanced country in the world...and we'll all be bowing down at their feet. Maybe...
